LVIS Annual Fair
Started in 1896, the Fair is one of the major sources of funding for all of our community activities.
As always, there are great booths offering exciting items, including Flowers, Local Fare, Salads & Sandwiches (great for lunch), Cakes and Jams, Vintage Clothing, Arts and Crafts, Jewelry, and more. Our Silent auction features over 100 items – golf at private clubs, resort and travel packages, art and antiques, clothes and jewelry, items for home and garden, food and wine and tickets to popular concerts and events! The annual Easter Egg Hunt, usually held on the Saturday before Easter, always attracts a large crowd of eager kids, parents, and grandparents. Younger children scamper in a designated area seeking candy-filled eggs, while the older children search on the rest of the LVIS grounds. Prizes are given to those who find one of several golden eggs, and the Easter bunny is always present for photo-ops. .Read
Each October, just before Halloween, LVIS holds an open house for neighborhood youngsters. The house and the dollhouse are decorated for the occasion, treats are distributed, and some of our more theatrical members take turns at storytelling.
Christmas Open House
Each December we welcome the community to the Gardiner Brown house on a Saturday afternoon when we serve cider, cookies, and eggnog. Mrs. Claus always makes an appearance, making for a great photo op. Read More
Our Landmark Luncheon will be held on Sat. October 20, 2018, at noon at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton. The speaker this year will be Joni Kinsey, Professor at the School of Art and Art History at the University of Iowa. She is an expert on Thomas Moran’s western paintings.
