SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In 2007, seven East Hampton young men and women were selected by the Student Awards Committee to receive $10,000 each toward their college tuitions. In addition, two students received $5,000 each for use at two-year colleges. Destinations of these students include Brown, Boston College, Fordham University, University of Connecticut, Northwestern University, Haverford College and SUNY at Geneseo, NY.

The Madelon DeVoe Talley Scholarship of $3,000 is given each year to an East Hampton woman 25 years or older who wants to return to college for a degree. This year's recipient is Catalina Diaz.

We also helped fund a new class in the Family Literacy Program at East Hampton High School. This program is devoted to teaching English to families of Latino students, with the goal of increasing communication between the school and the home.
